  Since the inception of this product, the only problem has been the inability to maintain it.

• Cleaning it has been neither practical nor possible until Coustic-Glo®. Past attempts to clean and rub it has disintegrated the surface and made the tile unusable. THEREFORE. the only solutions to date have been to paint or replace.
  
  
• Painting
  
  Acoustical Tile was meant to absorb Sound and has become a convenient ceiling cover method for access to the area above the ceiling for pipes and wiring, as well as other conveniences. Each panel as perforations that absorb sound. When it is painted, the holes are filled in, destroying its ability to do this.
  
  A suspended acoustical ceiling cannot be painted in place because the tiles merely rest on the rails. In addition to being time consuming, the tiles raise away from painting instruments and stick to the rails when dry. Each tile should be removed. painted, left to dry and replaced. The rails must still be cleaned or painted. Time, labor and material to accomplish this are two to three times more costly than the Coustic-Glo® process.
